Ekalaka Public Schools is seeking a compassionate, energetic, and organized individual to serve as our Daycare Director. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, and supervising a high-quality daycare program that puts the safety and well-being of our children first.
Key Responsibilities:

Program Leadership: Plan and supervise structured, educational group activities and daily schedules including physical activity, rest, and playtime.

Care & Supervision: Provide firm but compassionate structure while attending to the needs of the children, including meal times and assisting with personal care.

Compliance & Policy: Stay up to date on all Montana state daycare rules and regulations, and maintain local policies to align with state requirements.

Operations: Manage supplies, equipment, and staff training schedules while maintaining professional relationships with parents and staff.
Desired Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required; a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childcare or Development is preferred.

Current First Aid and CPR certifications (including pediatric).

Willingness to register with the Montana ECP Registry and complete state-required Director training.

Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, sit on the floor, and remain active with children.

A fun-loving attitude—must be willing to sing, dance, and get messy!
